Dacia's compact electric SUV should cost only 15,000 euros
Renault could bring with its subcontractor Dacia one of the cheapest electric cars on the market.
Renault wants to bring the cheap electric SUV K-ZE under its sub-brand Dacia in Europe on the market. At least that is what the German magazine Auto, Motor und Sport reports . In China , the car is sold converted from 7900 euros. It should not be that cheap in Europe , but according to an internal Renault event, one expects a "realistic price" of around 15,000 euros for Germany .
It can be assumed that the car should be sold at a similar price in Austria as soon as it arrives on the German market. One of the reasons for the higher price is that the car still has to be adapted in accordance with legal requirements in Europe , for example with regard to safety equipment.
In addition, subsidies for the purchase of private vehicles could be striking in Austria . The purchase of an electric car with pure electric drive or a fuel cell vehicle will be funded with 3,000 euros. A full-blown SUV is not available at the low price.
The Renault or Dacia K-ZE is smaller than Renault's E-car Zoe. The model was first shown under the name Renault City K-ZE at the Shanghai Auto Show 2019. The electric motor has a power of 33 kW and a maximum torque of 125 Nm. The maximum range with a load according to the NEFT standard is 270 kilometers. Market launch could be 2021.
